OPI Test is newly introduced in the ISSB tests at ISSB Center Kohat, ISSB Center Malir and ISSB Center Gujranwala. If you are going to appear in the Inter Services Selection Board of Army, Navy or Air Force then you must understand about this Oral Proficiency Interview test.
OPI exam in ISSB is newly introduced for the candidates who are going to appear in ISSB. OPI Test ISSB contains a set of 150 statements and individual is asked to solve it in 40 Minutes by choosing any one of the options given below;

What is OPI Test?
OPI stands for “Oral Proficiency Interview” which is being taken at ISSB centers. In this test, candidates are being checked for their leadership qualities and they are awarded with recommendation or Not-Recommendation letter for forces as an Officer.
Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) Test is basically used to check the behaviour of the individual in depth by using a likert scale. Individual mark any one of the option against each statement within a particular time.
OPI also stands for “Occupational Personality Inventory” and in ISSB mostly focus remains on personality of the individual because role of ISSB is to check the candidate’s personality as per set criteria against sixteen leadership qualities which are mentioned below.

Difference Between OPI Test and OPQ
If you are confused about OPI Test and OPQ Test then there is no need of confusion because it is very clear that both are the name of one test. OPI means Oral Proficiency Interview and OPQ means Oral Proficiency Questionnaire.
In this ISSB OPI Test, students are given with statements and against each statement student is to mark any one option between Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. Passing score in OPI Test depends on getting more than 80% scores against each trait.
Purpose of OPI Test in ISSB
Purpose of OPI Test in ISSB is to measure the students’ oral proficiency that if a candidate actually perform in the field that what would be the behaviour of the person and this is because of knowing about personality in depth because he/she has to face many undecommand JCOs, Havaldar, NCOs and ORs/ Airman/ Sailors.

Format of OPI Test in ISSB
In OPI Test of ISSB, candidates are given with a questionnaire containing 150 statements including some questions of SRT (Situational Rating Test). In OPI Test candidates are asked to mark one of the option between Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree. Detail is given below;

- SRT (Situational Rating Test) Statements (07 Situations)
In SRT, candidates are given a situation and against each situation, 4 to 5 statements are given. Candidates are to mark any one of the best option which he/ she thinks the most appropriate answer of the situation. This is actually the type of oral testing that what type of behaviour candidate shows.

In OPI Test, there are almost 07 situational questions which contains four option to check the behaviour of the student in certain situations which is called SRT (Situational Rating Test). Sample of the situational statements are given below;

How To Attempt OPI Test at ISSB?
Attempting any test is an art but if you are not familiar with such test then after getting the OPI Test statements take following points in mind so that you may attempt the test very clearly.
- First of all be relax and do not feel it fatigue.
- Just think that someone is asking these statements from you just for guidance.
- Read the statement carefully and try to understand what is in the statement. Like you can think that someone is asking this one to you which you are reading.
- If you do not meanings of any word then do ask from the instructors who are on duty. Always try to give answer after understanding the meaning of the sentence.
- Do not stuck yourself at any statement. If you do not know then just leave the statement and go ahead.
- Try to complete it in a given time and always try to focus on each statement before choosing appropriate answer.
- Be natural and mark the option truly.

Tips to Solve the OPI Test
